Terms for using Local Roots.
Local Roots is an informational directory that introduces shoppers to independent businesses. Local Roots is not the seller, buyer, broker, payment processor, delivery provider or guarantor in any transaction.
Saved businesses and alerts
Customers may ask Local Roots to save businesses and send inventory alerts. Vendors do not receive customer contact information. Alerts may be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate, and customers should confirm availability before traveling or purchasing.
Directory information
Listings may contain information supplied by vendors or community members. Hours, availability, prices, products, payment methods and locations can change. Users should confirm important details directly with a business before visiting or purchasing.
Transactions and responsibility
Any purchase, pickup, visit, communication or other interaction occurs directly between the shopper and vendor. Vendors are solely responsible for their products, operations, permits, licenses, registrations, taxes, labeling, safety and compliance with applicable laws.
Acceptable use
Users may not submit false information, impersonate another person or business, interfere with the directory, scrape personal information, make fraudulent reports or use Local Roots for unlawful activity.
Removal and moderation
Local Roots may review, reject, correct, suspend or remove listings and reports at its discretion, including for suspected illegality, inaccuracy, inactivity, safety concerns or violations of the Listing Rules.
No warranty
The directory is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Roots does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, quality, safety or availability of any business, product or listing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Roots is not liable for losses, injuries, disputes, damages or claims arising from a listing, business visit, product, transaction or interaction between users and vendors.
